Occupational Therapy

Without TherapyWorks, I don’t know where we would be with my nephew. He stays in our world now; he talks with us and interacts with us. – Jeanie, aunt of patient

Occupational therapy (OT) works with children and their families to improve success and independence in daily living skills at home, at school, and within the community. For children, their main “occupation” is learning through PLAY! OT enables children to learn and develop life skills, establish creative play and social interaction, improve independence in daily living, and increase skills for success in school, home, and the community.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

Our occupational therapists will complete a comprehensive evaluation to determine how to best help your child succeed. Your occupational therapist/certified occupational therapy assistant serves as a coach, educator, and role model while you actively participate and learn strategies for home, school, and the community during your child’s OT sessions.

Therapy sessions are fun and are subtly structured so that your child is challenged but successful in completing each activity.

Our occupational therapy team will partner with you and others in the interdisciplinary team.
